I stopped blogging for a month: Here’s why…

Okay, so the image may have given it away but I haven’t posted anything for the past month so here is everything you need to know from the last month, starting with:

I GOT MARRIED!

28th September 2019 is the best day of my life where I got to marry my best friend surrounded by *nearly* everyone that means so much to us. So, it means that I also return to my blog with another new title; Mrs πŸ™‚

It was truly an amazing day that flew past in the blink of an eye. It’s a day full of love and memories that I will treasure forever. I don’t think there was anything I would have changed, even our cake nearly toppling over, except for getting even more photos. I have to thank all our friends and family who helped us out and travelled from near and far to celebrate with us. It wouldn’t have been the same without any of you there.

.

September also marked a year since I handed in my PhD thesis and we have moved house too, so you can believe that I was *almost* glad to head back to work just for a bit of a break from everything else going on, before work gets a bit manic again, more weddings to attend and plan crop up, house viewings need to be arranged and dare I say the C word yet which will soon be taking us all into a festive frenzy of activities.

So, is normal service going to resume on Soph talks science now?

The short answer is yes! I’m back with a lot more spare time now that I don’t have a wedding of my own to plan, and a shorter commute after moving. It means I can finally put all those blog ideas I’ve been jotting down for the past year and leaving to the side finally into something I can share with you all. I also have lots of exciting collaborations to share with you all again ranging from travel, to science festivals, to education for girls, to curiosity and more! And it may even be time for me to finally release my podcast!

I am also going to be experimenting with a lot of new styles of content over the next few months, which includes some more ‘lifestyle’ blogging about wedding stuff to try and prolong the magic – with a science twist of course!

.

What new or old things do you want to see more or less of on Soph talks science now and in the future? More wedding posts or not?

.

Science love.
